MBA AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT

 

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE KEEN DESIRE TO OCCUPY MANAGERIAL POSITIONS OF HAVE PLANE TO BECOME ENTREPRENEUR IN AGRIBUSINESS, FOOD, FOOD PROCESSING, RURAL AND OTHER ALLIED SECTORS.

 

THE UNIVERSITY : With its mega infrastructure facilities, only University in the State which offers MBA Agribusiness, Degree Programme

IN CENTRE FOR   AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT

The centre is equipped with excellent class rooms having ICT Labs, Sectional Library.  For each student one computer is provided.

 

FACULTY : Besides experts from the University, excellent faculty members are drawn from XISS, XLRI, IIMS, ICFAI etc.

 

PLACEMENT : Students are made ‘Employment Ready’ by conducting Profile Management/ Personality Development exercise by its Employability Development Cell. The Placement Cell keeps in touch with organizations – Godrej, Reliance, IDBI, Zuari Industries, BASIX, Chamabal Agritech, NAFED, ITC, Tata Tea, Bayer Crop Science etc and provides 100% placement assistance. It is expected that 100% placement will take place.

 

ELIGIBILITY  : Bechelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Dairy Technology, Agrill. Engineering, Home Science (only Science stream), Fisheries, B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry with 65% marks (SC & ST candidates with 55% marks) are eligible. Appearing candidates of above mentioned programmes who fulfill the requirements on before the Group discussion & interview may also apply.

 

SEAT &RESERVATION POLICY ; No. of seat are 30 (thirty), fifty percent (50%) seat are reserved for residents of Jharkhand and remaining seats for candidates from other states of the country. Reservation

 

 SELECTION PROCESS: Admission will be on the basis of all India entrance examination which will be conducted by Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi at Ranchi Agricultural College. Selection will be made on basis of score obtained by the candidate in written test, group discussion and interview. The weightage on the score of written test, group discussion and interview. The weightage on the score of written test will be 70% group discussion 20% and interview 10%. Candidates will good CAT score will be exempted from written test. They will appear in group discussion & interview for admission.

 

HOW TO APPLY: Application from and information Brochure (containing course details, course fee and other details) can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi-834006 from 01.07.08 during 10.00AM to 4.00 PM on payment of Rs.1000/-(Rupees one thousand only) for the application form, information broche and the application fee by DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, BAU, Ranchi. Application form also can be down loaded from website www.baujharkhand.org Last date for submission of filled in Application form is 01.082008.

Theme:- Diversification of Agriculture in Jharkhand 

 

 
"Kharif Research Council Meeting" of Birsa Agricultural University will be held on 18th - 19th June 2007 at R.V.C. auditorium.

 

The symposium on “Farmers Led Innovation for sustainable agriculture” and Silver Jubilee celebration of University is going to be held from 6th to 8th June, 2007.  The inaugural  session  of the symposium will be chaired by either Governor of Jharkhand or  Dr. R.S. Paroda. Inaugural address will  be delivered by Chief guest,  Dr. M. S. Swaminathan,  key note  address will be delivered by Dr. S. Nagarajan & one lead paper will be delivered by Dr. R. P. Singh ‘Ratan’  during the inaugural session.
 

Application on plain paper are invited from eligible candidates latest by 19.04.2007 for the post of Senior Research Fellow under the project on “Development of molecular probes for diagnosis of different virulent and anatomosis groups of Rhizoctonia Solani infecting leguminous crops. The schemes are purely temporary and the engagement made shall be purely temporary and terminated at any time without any notice or without assigning any reason thereof the appointed candidate shall not be entitled for any claim implicit and explicit for absorption in the university and there services will stand terminated with the termination of the project or even before the termination of the project. If work is found unsatisfactory.

Agrotech / Kisan Mela-2007 on February 19th - 21st, 2007
Theme:- Integrated Farming Systems for Livelihood Security 
 

The training programme has been organized by Computer Centre, B.A.U., Ranchi on “Basic Operational Skills in Computer Application” for first batch  from 14th to 19th February 2007. Twenty Staff of the University have been participated in the programme. Classes are being conducted by the expert of NIIT, Ranchi Centre. This year our plane is to train one hundred staff of the University.  On this occasion  of inaugural function, Dr. A. K. Sarkar (Dean Agril.), Proff. Anil Kumar (Head of Engineering Dept.), Prof. P. Duwedi, Dr. I. A. Ansari, Sri Manish kumar, Sri Awdhesh Kumar and Sri Anil Panday were present.
